A foodie's guide to Gluttony 2026

Image

One of the best things about an experience at Gluttony? You never have to choose between seeing a show and eating well. In 2026, the food offering at the eclectic arts hub goes beyond the standard festival feeds and “fast food” feels. With more than 25 food vendors across multiple food markets, two full-service pop-up restaurants, and Gluttony’s own seafood serving island in the centre of the park (see below), it makes it tempting to arrive for an early dinner, stay for a late bite, or skip the cafe and take your weekend brunch parkside.

So, bookmark this page and consider it your guide to Gluttony's gourmet feeds, festival snacks, and all the delicious stuff in between.

Food offerings available in 2026

The beauty of eating at Gluttony is that you’re spoiled for choice, both in terms of offering and dining style. Of course, there are the festival favourites like burgers, hot doughnuts, gelato, and fairy floss, as well as stacks of kid-friendly options, but there’s also an array of global cuisines, including Filipino, Greek, Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Indian, Thai, and Vietnamese. You can grab something quick and easy before a show, share plates with friends between sessions, or plan a longer, more leisurely dinner as part of your night out. There’s plenty of choice to accommodate different dietary needs too, with vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and halal options available across the site.

Other things to consider

Seating areas are dotted throughout the park (not only where the food markets are), making it easy to perch with a plate and soak up the atmosphere. Keep in mind that food isn’t encouraged inside performance spaces, so allow enough time to enjoy a bite before your show starts. With peak times tending to hit between 6-8pm on weeknights, and often earlier on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, arriving a little earlier can make all the difference if you’re working to a tight show schedule. Also, remember Gluttony is a cashless venue, so ensure you have your card or banking app on hand to purchase all your foodie favourites.

Find your next bite by location

With more than 25 food vendors spread across the park, eating at Gluttony is as much about wandering and soaking up the atmosphere as it is about deciding what to fill your belly with. To make things easier, we’ve grouped all the foodie spots by zone, so if you’re arriving early, rushing between shows, or setting up camp for the night, you’ll know exactly what’s nearby or where to find your favourite feed.

Use this guide to plan ahead, or just follow your nose (or the map locations via the vendor links below)… either way, there’s something yummy waiting around the corner.

A different way to dine at Gluttony

While Gluttony is known for its street food and festival eats, 2026 also introduces a more refined dining option, with two new lakeside pop-up restaurants. Positioned on the edge of Rymill Park Lake, Andre’s Cucina and Polenta Bar and Botanic Lodge both offer a full-service, sit-down, set menu experience, pairing fun Fringe energy with restaurant-level quality. Ideal for pre-show dinners, special occasions, or anyone keen to turn their Fringe visit into a proper night out, bookings are essential and are managed directly through the restaurants (see further info below).

Andre's Cucina and Polenta Bar

Andre’s Cucina and Polenta Bar brings classic Italian soul to Rymill Park, following the closure of the popular Frome Street restaurant five years ago. Fronted by Andre Ursini – a previous MasterChef Australia contestant and the first to open a restaurant after the 2009 inaugural season – the pop-up will offer a $75 per person set menu featuring two variations of their signature polenta, along with other offerings. Open for dinner Tuesday to Sunday from 5:30pm until late throughout the entire Fringe season, and for walk-in late-night snacks. Bookings essential.

Image

Botanic Lodge

Botanic Lodge offers a more contemporary take – showcasing modern Australian cooking with a strong focus on South Australian produce – drawing inspiration from what grows abundantly in the Botanic Garden. Recently recognised as one of the Top 50 Restaurants in Australia, thanks to The Australian’s 2025 Hot 50 list, enjoy a generous set shared menu for $90 per person. Bookings are available Tuesday to Sunday throughout the Fringe season, from the afternoon until 9:30pm, with late-night walk-in snacks until late. Bookings essential.

Champagne Island

Champagne Island is back for 2026, once again proving why it’s the most luxe place to eat, drink, and linger at Gluttony. Sitting pretty on Rymill Park Lake, it’s designed for champagne-fuelled pit-stops, golden hour sips, and nights that stretch well beyond showtime. Led by a stacked Moet & Chandon portfolio, some of the bubbles on offer include Dom Pérignon, Ruinart, and Krug, pouring alongside small-house Grand Cru Champagnes by the glass or bottle.

There’s also freshly shucked South Aussie oysters and seafood, international caviar, and delicious snacks, which can be ordered from nearby Frites & Giggles (located across the water from Champagne Island) – including pommes frites, scallops, prawns, and cheese platters from Smelly Cheese Co.

Image

This year, Champagne Island caters to both casual drop-ins and those who want to plan something special in advance. Walk-ins are welcome at the bar or to kick back on the surrounding lawns with a picnic rug, or you can lock in one of the four new Pier Booths – a private 90-minute pre-booked booth over the bridge for groups of 4-10, complete with set food and drink packages.

If you want to go a little deeper on your champagne adventure, the island is also hosting a run of exclusive tasting events throughout the season. Presented by Moët Hennessy, Pursuit of Champagne, and Smelly Cheese Co., expect guided tastings, champagne masterclasses, oyster pairings, and a final closing-night celebration to send the season off in style.
