Step through the curtain: Club Curious returns for 2026

Image

When the show tents begin to empty, and the park shifts into after-dark mode, something else is just getting started at Gluttony.

Presented by South Ave, Club Curious – Society of the Unusual – is Gluttony's late-night experience for those seeking something a little off centre and who aren't quite ready to call it a night.

Hiding mysteriously inside Murlawirrapurka/Rymill Park, behind Never Never Lounge, Club Curious is a bar disguised as a secret society; a place where showgoers, artists, staff, and night owls collide over good drinks, great beats, and just the right amount of after-dark magic to keep things interesting.

If you've got a Gluttony ticket in your pocket, or a Fringe pass around your neck (and you're 18+), consider this your afterparty.

So, what is Club Curious?

Part dancefloor, part bar, part beautiful late-night playground, Club Curious is a space for abstract minds, curious travellers, and colourful souls to come together and unwind, instead of heading home to bed after the final curtain call. Inside, DJs spin until late, drinks are poured from the central bar, and artists, Gluttony ticketholders, and Fringe staff mingle into the early morning hours in a space that feels equal parts hidden and electric.

When is Club Curious open?

Club Curious runs throughout the entire Adelaide Fringe season. Open from 9pm Tuesday to Thursday, and from 10pm Friday and Saturday, the space transforms into a late-night dancefloor that carries through until the early hours. Sundays from 10pm are reserved exclusively for Adelaide Fringe 2026 passholders, creating a space for artists, staff, and insiders to exhale, connect, and celebrate the week that was. The final night for non-passholders is Saturday, 21 March, so arrive when doors open and watch the night unfold.

Club Curious entry requirements

Before you approach the door, make sure you meet the following requirements.

• Be 18 years or over, with a valid photo ID
• Hold a ticket to a Gluttony show for the same date (for entry Tuesday–Saturday nights), OR
• Be an Adelaide Fringe 2026 artist or staff passholder (for entry Tuesday–Sunday nights)

Entry is always subject to capacity, and when the space tightens, Gluttony artist and staff passes move to the front of the line.

Where to find Club Curious

Club Curious might be hidden, but it's not hard to find. Located inside the hub of Gluttony, between BankSA Theatre and The Octagon, entry to Club Curious is through Never Never Lounge, with the wardrobe door for exit only.

If you're arriving after the parklands have closed, access is available through the external gate along Rundle Road. If you hear the beats before you see the lights, trust you're on the right path.

The Club Curious soundtrack

Across the 2026 season, Club Curious welcomes a rotating line-up of DJs on the decks, including Troy J Been, The Clubnotist: Matt Hale, DJ Ruby Chew, Baby Monet, and Nelya, alongside a strong roster of local talent. Each night carries its own personality, bringing a mix of house, disco, late-night grooves, and dancefloor energy. The full DJ schedule is listed below – plan your visit around your favourites, or surrender to something new.

The bar – fuel for the curious

At the centre of the space, you'll find Club Curious' central bar, serving Alpha Box & Dice Wines, Bizzarro Spritzes, South Ave Seltzers, LOBO Cider, Pirate Life Beers, alongside free-pour and pre-mixed spirits, as well as non-alcoholic options (for the designated drivers or those starting early the next day).

The Fringe might be best known for what happens on stage, but the festival fun continues after hours at Club Curious. Bring your ticket, your pass, and your curiosity, and we'll meet you inside behind the curtain.
