Artists: enter now for Gluttony Sculpture Walk 2027

For the second year running, Gluttony is holding an outdoor sculpture competition, curated within its grounds. Entries open 1 August for the 2027 Gluttony Sculpture Walk, with an application deadline of 22 November 2026.

Visual art installations of large scale will be presented throughout Gluttony’s parkland event site in Murlawirrapurka / Rymill Park during Adelaide Fringe 2027 (19 February - 21 March).

A unique presentation among Adelaide Fringe hub offerings, the Gluttony Sculpture Walk celebrates the major creative discipline of visual arts, expanding the artistic genres that call Gluttony home.

Prizes across various categories are awarded by an industry panel, as well as a Foodland People’s Choice award to be voted on by the general public who visit the Gluttony Sculpture Walk. Plus, this is a prime Fringetime opportunity to sell your work - and attract commissions - at a festival destination visited by more than 750,000 patrons during the season.

Last year's competition saw 12 works by nine artists exhibited, with the overall winning work announced as Baden Lloyd's 'Cruising Locals': a pair of scrap-metal and corrugated iron stingrays gliding gracefully in Rymill Park Lake! The absurd but friendly Benga Barracuda by Ben Reardon and Gab Fox took out the Foodland People’s Choice Award, while Birthday Boy by automata artist David Archer – well known to Gluttony visitors for his whimsical, mechanical, pig-themed installations over many years – received the Waterbox Highly Commended Award.
